Dr. Charles Kaiser has been a resident of Miami for over 30 years. Born in Washingtion, D.C., he moved to Miami from New York at the age of 8. He prepped at Ransom Everglades and then attended Princeton University, graduating with a degree in Molecular Biology. He completed his medical training at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1990 with Distinction in Research in Immunology. After his internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, he did his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, where he was chief resident during his final year. Dr. Charles Kaiser returned to Miami in 1994 to join South Dade Eye Associates in Perrine, which grew into Med Eye Associates. He joined the team at the Center For Excellence in Eye Care in December 2002.
Dr. Charles Kaiser performs no-stitch, no-patch cataract surgery, laser vision correction (LASIK and PRK), glaucoma surgery, and diabetic laser surgery . He has a special interest in glaucoma. He is on staff at Baptist Hospital and Jackson South Community Hospital. He is a volunteer faculty member at the University of Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he is involved in training young ophthalmologists and residents in cataract surgery.
Dr. Kaiser is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and the Dade County Medical Association.

Dr. Kaiser is married with 3 daughters. In his spare time he enjoys running and swimming.
