A native New Yorker, Dr. Jack Gabay, has been in private practice in South Florida since 1987. Upon receiving is medical degree from the SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine in 1980, Dr. Jack Gabay went on to complete his Internship and Residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Jack Gabay’s expertise includes Cataract and Refractive surgery as well as comprehensive Diabetic eye care. In 1997, shortly after the Food and Drug Administration approved the excimer laser, Dr. Gabay became certified by VISX to perform laser vision correction procedures for the treatment of nearsightedness and astigmatism.

Before joining the Center For Excellence in Eye Care in 1996, Dr. Jack Gabay was Chief of Ophthalmology for CAC Ramsey HMO in the late 1980’s. In 1991 Dr. Jack Gabay founded the South Florida Ophthalmology Network. He is a staff member at Baptist, South Miami, Health South and Doctor’s Hospitals. Other surgical affiliations include Surgical Park and Baptist Medical Arts Surgery centers.

Dr. Jack Gabay is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Miami Ophthalmologic Society, and the Florida Society of Ophthalmology. He has also been a three year recipient of the Physicians Recognition Award.

Dr. Gabay enjoys many activities in his spare time, including scuba diving and downhill snow skiing.
