Jerome M. Hernandez, OD joined the team at the Center For Excellence in Eye Care in 1998, specializing in optometry, low vision and contact lenses.

Dr. Jerome Hernandez graduated with a degree in Biology from the Pennsylvania State College in 1985. He then continued his graduate work in Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he completed his degree in 1989. While an optometry student, Dr. Jerome Hernandez was the President of the American Optometric Student Association as well as a teaching assistant for Anatomy. Dr. Jerome Hernandez is currently a member of the Florida Optometric Association and the Dade County Optometric Association. He has also served as a board member and Chairman of Prevent Blindness of Southeast Florida.

Dr. Jerome Hernandez specializes in offering solutions to patients that have lost vision due to retinal diseases. By offering a variety of visual aides, Dr. Hernandez is able to help people with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and other low vision impairments enjoy immediate improved sight.
