Junhee Lee, MD, joined the Center For Excellence in Eye Care in 2002. He serves as the oculoplastic surgeon for the group, specializing in problems of the eyelids, eyebrows, eye socket, and tearing system.
Dr. Junhee Lee graduated with high honors from Harvard College in 1989, where he majored in engineering sciences. After graduation, he spent an additional year at Harvard University performing research in magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission. Dr. Junhee Lee went on to attend Yale University School of Medicine. At Yale, he performed neuroscience research with funding from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and received a scholarship due to the success of this research. He was awarded his medical degree with honors in 1996. Dr. Junhee Lee received his ophthalmology training at the Wills Eye Hospital In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Thereafter, he completed a two-year oculoplastics fellowship at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
Dr. Junhee Lee is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association. He has authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters.
