Matthew Brink, MD

Matthew Brink specializes in Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery. He was born and raised in South Africa and moved to the US in 2007. Dr Brink trained with the world-renowned Dr Ike Ahmed at his highly competitive fellowship program. His residency was completed at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, and he went to medical school in Philadelphia at Drexel University. He holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science, was awarded membership to the Golden Key International Honor Society, and he holds and a post-graduate degree in Molecular Medicine.
Dr Brink’s rigorous fellowship training enables him to treat the most complex glaucoma and anterior segment pathology. He gained expertise in cutting-edge technologies for the treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, lens or IOL-based pathology and refractive surgery. During his Canadian fellowship he learned to use techniques and devices at the cutting edge of his field (many not yet available in the US). Dr Brink utilizes the most modern diagnostic, and surgical techniques to offer treatment for the following conditions:
