Junhee Lee, MD, Emeritus
Junhee Lee, MD, joined the Center For Excellence in Eye Care in 2002. He serves as the oculoplastic surgeon for the group, specializing in problems of the eyelids, eyebrows, eye socket, and tearing system.
Dr. Lee graduated with high honors from Harvard College in 1989, where he majored in engineering sciences. He went on to attend Yale University School of Medicine. While at Yale, he performed neuroscience research with funding from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and received a scholarship due to the success of this research. He was awarded his medical degree with honors in 1996.
Dr. Lee received his ophthalmology training at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Thereafter, he completed a two-year oculoplastics fellowship at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Both of these ophthalmology programs have been ranked among the top ten in the country by U.S. News & World Report.
Dr. Lee is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters and has been selected as one of the Best Doctors in America® by his peers. Dr. Lee has also been named a South Florida Super Doctor®, a Top Doctor South Florida® and has been awarded the Patients’ Choice Award®.
